Ruinas del Fondatore Wine

The latest born in the Depperu family, but as often happens, the last will be the first, and in fact, the founder of the company, Paolo Depperu, not happy with the already excellent quality of the classic Ruinas, wanted an even more important, with even more intense flavors and structure, and this is how in 2018 a wine with an intense, almost golden color was born, with a notable aromatic complexity and a velvety and enveloping flavour.

Several factors contribute to obtaining a wine with the aforementioned characteristics: first of all the age of the plants which are over 40 years old, a very low production of grapes per hectare which is around 35-40 quintals, together with a meticulous selection of the grapes and to a prolonged period of maceration on the skins.

It is a versatile wine, which is suitable for accompanying both great seafood cuisine, white meats and semi-mature and mature cheeses. Its particularity also makes it perfect as a meditation wine.
